YA Fiction: The Fault in Our Stars

Are you a fan of John Green's book The Fault in Our Stars? Have you seen the movie?

The movie's release and subsequent article published by Slate,  have sparked an online debate focused upon adults reading YA fiction. In case you were wondering; The Fault in Our Stars is part of the library's juvenile collection, it is currently checked out with a hold awaiting its return.

2014 Boston Globe - Horn Book Awards

The 2014 Boston Globe - Horn Book Award winners for 'excellence in children's literature' were announced at BookExpo America on Friday, May 30th.
"Celebrating its 48th year, the Boston Globe–Horn Book Awards are among the most prestigious honors in the field of children’s and young adult literature. Winners and two honor books are selected in each of three categories: Picture Book, Fiction and Poetry, and Nonfiction."

Exceptions to regular operating hours are posted on the IRC web site. The IRC is closed daily from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm for lunch.

  • Monday through Thursday:  8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Friday:  8:00 am to noon
  • Saturday & Sunday:  Closed
