Questions? Ask the IRC


Have you used the Instructional Resource Center chat service, Questions? Ask the IRC? Our chat service is staffed by the curriculum librarian and Instructional Resource Center student workers. We can help with general information and questions about the IRC, collections, juvenile books, equipment, and hours.


Did you know you could text the IRC?
Text the IRC at 419.938.4134, standard messaging rates will apply.

IRC text questions will be answered during regular Ask the IRC hours. Text inquiries sent after scheduled hours will be answered the following business day.

The IRC and AU Library share a text number. Non-IRC related text questions may be referred to circulation or reference staff as needed.

IRC Hours: Thanksgiving Break

The Instructional Resource Center will be closed Wednesday, November 23rd through Saturday, November 26th during Thanksgiving holiday break.

The IRC will open at 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 27th. Regular fall hours resume Monday, November 28th. A complete listing of IRC hours and updates is available on our web site.

IRC Circulating: Leveled Book Kits

The following Book Kits have been added to the IRC circulating collection; each book kit contains six paperback copies of the same title and information pertaining to suggested reading levels is detailed. Book kits are located next to the big books, directly outside of the Instructional Resource Center, Library second floor.

IRC Pinterest: New Board

Check out the newest IRC Pinterest Board, Wordless Picture Books. This board features a selection of wordless picture books, also know as stories without words. Titles are part of the juvenile collection located on the library 2nd floor. Check availability using the catalog link provided with each call number in the pin description.

IRC Circulating: Kits

The following materials kits have been added to the Instructional Resource Center circulating collection. Materials Kits are located inside of the IRC, on right side/east wall, and shelved numerically. For ease of use, shelving in the IRC are labeled.
