IRC Hours Update

Please note the following changes to IRC operating hours for this week.

  • Monday, March 20: 
    Open 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 21: 
    Open 9 a.m. to noon and 5 to 8 p.m.

A complete listing or IRC hours and updates is available on the library's main hours calendar; it includes hours for Archer Library, the IRC, and ATS Library.

2023 Youth Media Award Winners

Watch the Announcements (Recording)

ALA's 2023 Youth Media Awards were announced on January 30th. Included were the annual announcements of Newbery, Caldecott, Coretta Scott King Author and Illustrator, Pura Belpre, Seibert Informational, Schneider Family Book, Stonewall Book, and Geisel Awards.

The following award winning titles have been added to the juvenile circulating collection. If you don't see an award winner on this list, it was already part of our collection.  You will find these titles shelved in the new books display on the second floor, outside of the IRC, or in their regular location.

Caldecott • Medal

Newbery • Medal & Honor

CSK Award • Illustrator & Author Honor

Pure Belpre • Illustrator & Author, Honor & Medal

Archer Library Coffee Tasting


Free Coffee Tasting Events  

In preparation for the new Library Cafe opening for Fall 2023, Auxiliary Services is exploring various coffee brands. You are invited to participate in free coffee tasting events, hosted at Archer Library.  Promotional materials and tables will be set up on the library main floor during each vendor's scheduled time.   Your input will help select our next coffee vendor partner. 


The schedule for the remainder of March, while not yet complete, includes: 
  • March 17: Goldberry Roasting Company, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. 
  • March 24: Crimson Cup, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • March 30: Peet's Coffee, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. 
  • March 31: Dessert Oasis, morning event 
You are welcome to participate in as many of these events as you can.

IRC Hours Update • Spring Break


IRC Hours • Spring Break
Instructional Resource Hours for Spring Break are:
  • Monday, 3/6:  9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Tuesday, 3/7: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Wednesday, 3/8 through Friday, 3/10:  Closed
The IRC's regular hours schedule resumes on Monday, March 13th.  A complete listing of IRC hours and scheduled exceptions is located with Archer Library's Main Calendar • Hours & Updates information.
