2013 Scott O'Dell Award for Historical Fiction
Read Roger, The Horn Book Magazine blog, has announced The 2013 Scott O'Dell Award Winner for Historical Fiction is Louise Erdrich for her book Chickadee.
"Scott O'Dell established this award to encourage other writers-particularly new authors--to focus on historical fiction. He hoped in this way to increase the interest of young readers in the historical background that has helped to shape their country and their world." - Scott O'Dell Award.Interested in learning more? IRC Spring 2013 Hours: Welcome back!
- Monday - Thursday: 8 am to 10 pm
- Friday: 8 am to 5 pm
- Saturday: Closed
- Sunday: 6 pm to 10 pm

The board description details: "The Instructional Resource Center's circulating collection includes materials kits. Our collection features resources such as puppets, flannel board stories, dry erase boards, manipulatives and games for math, science, language arts, social studies, physical education, music, and other general areas. This board highlights a few of our new additions."
