Wednesday, January 24th, the IRC blog template migrated to the new Beta version of
Blogger. While the information provided within individual blog posts remains unchanged, several different organizational features are now available that make using the blog more conv
enient.
Category labels have been added to the bottom of each post that correspond to content within the post. A blog sidebar lists Blog Categories and will allow users to click on a particular topic to view all posts with the same labels. If you are looking for juvenile book posts, of which there are currently 28, click on the juvenile book link. At this time, all posts from October 18, 2006 and forward have been labeled. Older posts will be updated as time permits. Additionally, some postings have tags and labels. The tags are technorati tags and are being used by bloggers to help categorize and label blogs in general. Clicking on a tag will take you to technorati and other blogs using the same tag will be visible.
Two book blog widgets from Library Thing have been added to the sidebar. These widgets, IRC Book Review Blog and New IRC Reference, feature new additions to the juvenile collection recently reviewed and new additions to the IRC reference collection. For more information on individual titles, search the catalog from the blog (another sidebar option), or follow the links provided to the library catalog.
Remember, site feeds are available on all of the IRC blogs. Use them and the latest news and information will be delivered immediately to the reader of your choice. I hope you enjoy the recent blog additions.
