New PC's

Three new Dell computers have arrived for the second floor of the library. Two replace the iMacs at the desk near the elevator and the third is inside the IRC near the window. Each computer has Adobe Professional 6 (create pdf), Inspiration, and Kidspiration in addition to Microsoft Office 2003. As with other computers on the second floor, print jobs are sent to the Instructional Resource Center printers.

Mock Caldecott Session

Dr. Mary Rycik's Children's Literature class participated in a mock Caldecott award session Tuesday, January 17, 2006. The class discussed sixteen books, narrowed the selection to four, and voted on a winner and honor book.

Books pictured left were the "final four" of the session. Check out the web page to see which two were selected as winner and honor book by the class. The IRC will open at 9:00 am on Monday, January 23 and Tuesday, January 24.

Update: Color Printer

The color printer is once again operational. All computers on the second floor of the library will print to the color printer. Be sure to choose the correct printer from the print menu (see image) and remember the cost is ten cents per page.

Color Printer

The IRC color printer is currently out of order. The necessary part has been ordered and should be in early next week (January 9) to coincide with the beginning of the spring term.
