Mock Caldecott Session
Dr. Mary Rycik's children's literature class held a Mock Caldecott Award session in the library September 6, 2005. Criteria and terms followed were those used by the Association for Library Services to Children, American Library Association Medal Committee. Twenty-one titles, each published in 2005, were considered. The original field was narrowed down to four. From these four titles, one was selected as the "winner" with a tie for second place and a fourth place title, all declared honor books.
