Book Links: 15th Anniversary Issue

This week the 15th Anniversary edition of Book Links (Jul 2006, v. 15, no. 6) magazine found it's way into my mailbox. Laura Tillotson, editor, describes the challenge of putting this birthday special edition together saying:

"We have assembled this classics 'bible' to help remind readers of their favorite golden oldies. We also hope this issue will serve as a crash course in classics for those who may not be familiar with the best books of the past" (Book Links, p. 4).
Special features include interviews with "literary legends" Beverly Cleary, Jean Craighead George, Charlotte Zolotow, E.L. Konigsburg, Bernard Waber, Laruent de Brunhoff, Marc Simont, Lloyd Alexander, Robert Lipsyte, Jean Fritz, and Mildred D. Taylor, as well as classic book lists detailing fifteen favorite books for preschool through high school readers.
